Could say a lot but I’ll just say that I’ve been listening for years and I truly cherish this podcast, and i hope it continues for the REST OF MY LIFE. If I could only listen to one podcast period it might be this one (at least for comedy) and I listen to a lot of podcasts… truly important to me.

Matt brings such a realness and grounding to improv that I just don’t find in other improv podcasts. An institution of comedy.

Purple Passion?

I’ve been listening to this show since the first 20 episodes and it is hands down the funniest podcast available. There are just so many incredible episodes with the funniest people you can imagine and Matt is the best at directing the scenes and bringing the best out of everyone in addition to creating some amazing concept and 2-3 part episodes. Can’t say enough good things about it.

These lefties are hilarious! Besser’s comedy genius is worth hearing folk who have no idea what side of the 80/20 split they are on! What happened to Paul Rust?!

love the format of this podcast! I will say though, it was hard to listen to the episode with Kimia because the two men would NOT let her get a word in edge-wise 😵‍💫

The only thing that could make me love you more is if you brought on my 2 other favorite podcast improvisers "Paul and Sasha" from the comedy, episodic, serial podcast "Community News with Paul and Sasha". They are really funny and I would love to hear them rif with you about anything and everything.

This episode is what made me love improv4humans, my favorite funny people and an absolute legend in Dan O’Brien, amazing writer, and something different I wasn’t expecting.

There is not a better improv podcast. Besser is king. Do you know how lucky we are to be living during the golden age of improv and now to have access to it every week for free??? Genius, experimental, and consistent comedy! The music eps are always special experiences.

This was my favorite, 5 ⭐️ top podcast before Besser wedged in awful music acts to be boring and vile sounding. Matty b has the musical taste of a 90's teen. Get Up Kids? Pete Yorn?! Barf. I'm tired of this pod reminding me what I hate about music. It's not improv comedy, it's ego based garbage music.

Matt Besser’s I4H is a phenomenal long form improv podcast featuring top notch comedian and improvisers creating hilarious scenes and antics from stories, questions and even live songs performed by a diverse range of great musicians . I’ve listened to the podcast for several years and have listened to nearly every episode of the pod, and I would heartily recommend most of the first several hundred episodes. In the past year or so, Besser has added a new genre of long form improv in the mix in which he and the cast will do one long scene that lasts the entire episode as characters from The Avengers, Jurassic Park, Scooby Doo, sometimes even just being themselves at home. These are THE WORST episodes! I give them a chance each time and find myself disliking every one of them as they lack humor and decision-making that the normal format possesses. The occurrence of these episodes seems to be every third or fourth show and it’s discouraging to have to delete an episode once or twice a month. If Besser removes the format or decreases the frequency of these episodes I will gladly change my review because the normal episodes are exceptionally fun! Edit: the podcast has been adjusted and the “character episodes” are much more infrequent. Thank you Matt Besser!

This interrogation is amazing!

When i4h episodes are spun organically, especially with musical guest the show can go to some unexpected and hilarious places. But when there’s a contrivance and Matty B gets an idea to setup a whole show of flat earthers or god forbid he brings his own guitar into studio, I cringe and hope this isn’t anybody’s first improv podcast rodeo. Doesn’t doing a setup go against everything UCB teaches? No, I won’t go on Case Closed. But they’re getting further away from Close every time they huddle outside studio and try to be clever I sure wish they’d stop.

We are so blessed to have i4h in our lives. This is one of the most consistently funny podcasts out there. But that's not all. Besser's musical guests are excellent and he is an expert at engaging all of his guests in fascinating conversations.

Matt Besser is a genius. Can turn anything funny. Been listening a lot during 2020. The episodes with Jon Gabrus, Horatio Sanz, Seth Morris, Brian Huskey, Tim Meadows, Paul F Thompkins, and Matt Walsh are must listens.

I’m writing this review during the dark days of summer 2020, and my favorite podcast (this one) on a mysterious hiatus after nearly a decade of new content almost every week. While I’m sure I’ve reviewed this show before, I am feeling the need to state in no uncertain terms that: This show is consistently amazing. It has been a highlight of my week for years. Besser is unparalleled in his ability to curate a rotating cast of the best improvisers in the universe and masterfully conduct scene after scene of endlessly entertaining, surprising, mind-bending comedy. Also, Besser is a great host and has only gotten better over the years. And finally: now that I’ve gotten a taste of the world without improv4humans, and I can say for sure that I’ll miss the living hell out of this show if it ever disappears. Having said that, if you haven’t started listening yet there are countless hours of incredible improv waiting for you, in both the back episodes and the new episodes hopefully to come.

This show was hilarious, but in the past year or so its really lost its value, go listen to earlier episodes.

I'm just hear to say love the show. Not sure if podcasts are shows since nothing is shown, but I digress. I've been a fan since Upright Citizens Bridge(the show). I remember being the tender age of 9, and I starting to become obsessed with early 90s snl. Then my mom got us "free" cable which included Comedy Central. I saved up a TV Guide subscription to map out my day. Upright Citizens Bridge(the show), early 90s snl, and Kids in the Hall were all a big part in helping a high functioning kid be more comfortable in the world. I'm new to podcast and glad Matt can help me drown out the loud all day chewing coming from my desk mate. Only suggestion would be more Matt at ASSSSCAT Saturday's, but that's not really podcast related so.....
